How much is your rate for tattoos?
My tattoo rate is $250 per hour.
Do you take a deposit?
A non-refundable deposit of $500 (2 tattoo hours) will be taken on the day of the consultation, and it will be applied to the final session of the tattoo.
What is your cancellation policy?
The cancellation policy requires a minimum of 48 hours to reschedule without penalty. Less than 48 hours or no show will forfeit the deposit in its entirety. A new deposit of $500 by e-transfer will be needed to schedule again. Please allow as much notice as possible if you need to reschedule to avoid losing your deposit.
How do I reschedule an appointment?
Please contact me by text as soon as you know you will not be able to make it to your appointment.
Can I see my drawing ahead of the tattoo appointment?
The drawing will be available on the day of the appointment, where minor changes could be made if needed. If you are unsatisfied with the design and request a new one, a new deposit will be required, along with a rescheduled date.
Can I bring anyone to the appointment?
It is not recommended to bring anyone to your first appointment, but you are welcome to bring one person to any sessions thereafter. Please do not bring children or dogs.
Does it hurt?
Yes, however pain will vary from person to person and dependant on the location on the body. Generally the lining will feel worse than the shading, but the body’s natural endorphins will be released after the first 20 minutes to make the process easier. I usually do not tattoo beyond 3 hours as that’s when the body will begin to lose energy and tolerance.
Should you be worried about the pain, I do have numbing cream available for purchase. The cream will need to be applied 1.5 hours prior to your session, and it should last 3 hours. Alternatively, I also have numbing spray that I can use during the tattoo. With new advances in such products, tattooing can be more painless than ever!
Where are you located?
My private studio is by appointment only, and is located in Railtown in Vancouver BC, Canada. You will be sent the address when your consultation is booked.
What is your favorite style to tattoo?
I mainly enjoy doing illustrative pieces. I draw influence from Japanese art, as well as fantasy, mythology, and surrealism.
How far in advance are you booking?
I usually book no more than three months in advance. I like to have the freedom to take on projects that interest me without having to wait a year before starting them. This also allows me to book up-for-grabs pieces sooner, while they're fresh in my mind and I have a lot of enthusiasm for the project.
How long does a big piece take to tattoo?
That depends on varying factors but not limited to:
• Size and location of the tattoo
• Your skin’s workability
• Your tolerance and ability to sit well for the tattoo
• Frequency of your sessions (I recommend once per month for bigger pieces)
• Whether the piece is coloured or black and grey (colour will take longer than black and grey)
• After the consult I will have a better idea and can give a more accurate timeframe for the piece
Average tattoo time for bigger projects:
• Full arm 15-25 hours
• Full back piece 20-45 hours
• Full leg 25-45 hours
Do you have pre-drawn designs to choose from?
Yes. I have up-for-grabs designs that are available to be tattooed. I will post them on my social media as well as on my newsletter once a month. Subscribe if you want to keep up to date with the newest designs as soon as they are available as they will be booked on a first come first serve basis, and each design will only be tattooed once.
